1. The families must obey strict rules to avoid discovery. Which rules would be hardest for you to follow? why?
Answer: For me the hardest is to go to the bathroom only once a day because i can't my self if i feel going.

2. A. In Scene 1, what object does Mr. Frank find in the secret room?
Answer: The white gloves that belongs to Anne.

B. How are these objects connected with the rest of the act?
Answer: It made him remember all the hard thinks that they experience during the hiding time.

3. A. What special meaning does Hanukkah have for the families?
Answer: Hanukkah is the God that they know and they call him during celebration.

B. What does Anne's presents show about her?
Answer: It shows that she is caring about the others and change her attitude.


C. Why do the others react with enthusiasm to their presents?
Answer: Because they can't believe that Anne can give them those presents.


4. A. With a partner, discuss Mr. Frank's statement "There are no locks that anyone can put on your mind." How does Anne prove that this is true.
Answer: Anne proves Mr. Frank's statement by hating his mom and the rest but then at the end she change and care for every single one of them.

5. A. What is the historical cause that force the franks to go into hiding?
Answer: The Nazi's are getting people and putting them to a concentration camp.

B. What affects does this situation have on their daily lives?
Answer: Before they were freedom to enjoy the time with your families or friends but then when it happened they can't do those things no more.

6. A. In Scene 2, Anne and Peter discuss the star of David on their clothes. What effects do the
Nazis intend the wearing of the star to have on the Jews?
Answer: So that they can know that they were the Jews slave that they own.

B. What background information about the war and the Nazis' treatment of the Jews helps you to link this cause with its intended effects?
Answer: When they send all the Jews they find to a concentration camp and treat them like an animals and not human.

7. Complete an organizer like the one shown with example of dialogue that achieve each purpose.

Reveals characters and relationships: When Anne talked to his father about his good inside and the bad side that she is showing that time.

advances the action of the plot: When Anne thinks that she should change because she wants her parents to be happy to her.

develops to conflict: Anne change and she show the good side of her, and she did it by herself.

8. After Mr. Klaler asks if Jan Dussel can join the franks and the Van Daans in hiding, what does the dialogue among the characters reveal about their personalities?
Answer: When Mr. Van Daans says that your going to take another person in even we dont have any foood it reveals that the Mr. Van Daans just care about him self.

1. What do you like best about Anne Frank? How would you like having her as a friend.
Answer: The best about Anne is that she has so much hope and didn't give up.

2. A. What disturbing news does Me. Kraler bring on New Year's Day?
Answer: Theres a man that wanted money and if Mr. Klarer don't give him a money he will tell the Nazi's that there are people hiding upstairs.



B. What hint does this give about the ending of the play?

Answer: It makes me think that they will be caught and died.


3. A. What is the time span of Act II?
Answer: The time span of the Act II was almost nine months.


B. How have the characters changed since the end of Act I?
Answer: When someone was down stairs and get out when Peter drop the canter lamp the hope in there self went all out but then when Mr. Frank tells them that it was only a theft they were a relief and the hope in their self came back.


C. How do you know that Anne has changed?
Answer: I know by the time he give everyone a present and show to them that she care about them. She was getting along with her mother and sister and rest of the people in the hiding place.


4. A. How can Anne believe that "inpite of everything, people are really good at heart?"
Answer: It's because he base his believe in people that shes with and those are her families that always give her hope.


B. What does Mr. Frank mean when he says: "she puts me to shame"?
Answer: I think it means that she can't believe that she's daughter is still thinking that people are good but the real thing is not.


5. A. For each of the following events, identify one cause and one effect: Mr. Van Daan's decision to steal food.
Answer: The cause is that he is a big man and he get hungry so fast and food are getting fewer. The effect is that the rest of the people that are hiding with him are disappointed with him.


B. Mrs. Frank's change of heart about wanting the Van Daan's attitude toward Anne and Peter's relationship?
Answer: I think because Anne will be so sad and maybe will lose all the hope that she have if Peter will go away.


6. What are some possible causes of Mrs. Van Daan's attitude toward Anne and Peter's relationship?
Answer: I think when Anne and peter starts talking to each other the whole time and staying at peters room the whole day.


7. Living in close quarters has multiple effects on the residents of the "Secret Annex." List three effects that result from this single cause.
Answer: One effects is that they have less food to eat and need to budget it. The second effect is that it made them care for each other and treat each other like families. The third effect is that sometimes they can get to an agreement easily because the whole time they were together.

8. A. On a chart like the one shown, identify the possible motivation behind the actions listed.
Miep - bring flowers and cake to the attic rooms. - he want to great them happy new year.
Mr. Van Daan - steal food in the kitchen. - he is so hungry.
Peter Van Daan - Talk to Anne more and be friends. - because she feel something for Anne.

9. What possible motivations might an informer have for telling the authorities about the families in hiding?

Answer: It's because if you turn to the Nazi's and you are a robbery or a killer the police will not look for you no more.
